Happy new week loves! How was your weekend? Did you get counted? Mine was pretty chilled and involved lots of self-care and binge watching WU Assassin on Netflix. 🙂
I just finished writing down my goals for the week and committing them to God, which is a something I try and do every Sunday afternoon/evening as I prepare for the week ahead. One of my long-term goals is to come full circle by the time I turn 25. To stop giving excuses to myself for things I know I should do like working out, eating better, managing my finances, showing up for things on time and feeling more confident about myself. So every week, I do something that gets me closer to that. Like putting some money away instead of saying yes to every plan that involves spending money. Or doing a 10 minute workout every morning then eventually turning it 30 minutes and then to 1 hour.
I am learning to seek progress instead of perfection. To give myself grace and not throw away the whole routine immediately I fall off but trying again and again until I master it. In the words of Rachel Hollis:
Will you fall off the wagon? Absolutely! But get up and try again. Keep going until being in control feels more natural than being out of control, until it becomes a way of life and you become the person you are meant to be 🙂
So as you go into this new week, I hope you do 1 or 2 things that bring you closer to your long term goals: be it emotional, physical, spiritual or financial.
