Learning to Trust

Hello loves! How was your weekend? I got to attend the Wine Not Pop Up by MIA Wines at Pan Asian Yao on Saturday and had such a lovely time. It was an afternoon filled with food, flowing wine and lots of laughter. I am not much of a Sauvignon Blanc girl but I really enjoyed the Villiera. πŸ™‚

I recently finished up on a project at work and as I look back to the beginning of the project, I really wasn’t sure it would turn out as I had hoped it would. I had done my best and quite frankly, didn’t have enough results to show for it- or so I thought.

I was worried and anxious that I wouldn’t see it through but won’t He do it? In the end, it turned out to be better than I had even expected. I was listening to Sarah Jakes Roberts the other morning and she was talking about the man at the pool of Bethesda who had been paralysed for 38 years (Refer to John 5). When Jesus saw Him He asked, “Do you want to get healed?” In response, he said “I have no one to help me”. He went further to explain that because of this, when the Angel came down to stir the water, he was never fast enough to go into the pool before the rest of the sick people. Then Jesus said to him “Rise, take up your bed and walk”.

I love this story because it reminds us that we serve a God who operates on a supernatural realm. That we serve and exceedingly abundantly type of King. The sick man never had to be the fastest to receive healing and neither did he need anyone to help him. All he had to do was have an encounter with God and believe.

This is a welcome reminder to rise up and walk. To rise up from worry, from fear, from anxiety, from unhappiness, from procrastination. To lift up those things that have been holding us down and recognise that we have the power to release them from our lives. So with that, I am learning to trust that everything will eventually work out for my highest good, regardless of how things look in the moment.

I hope you enjoyed the read and that you also choose to rise up and walk this week. Wishing you an abundance of peace, strength and favour. πŸ™‚
