Life Update & Taking Stock Four

Hello loves! How have you all been? I have barely shared any posts on the blog this year but you know, life! However, plans are underway to fix that as soon as possible. How have you all been? Oh how I have missed sharing with all of you! 🙂

Can we just take a moment and talk about 2018 being THE year?! It has been a year of new beginnings for me and most of my loved ones and I couldn’t be more grateful.  It has also had its challenges but a strong support system has countered that for me. How has it been going for you? Quarter 2 is already with us and I hope you have managed to smash some of your goals for the year!

I got a lot of requests for healthy recipes when I did a poll on my Instastories so expect more of that coming your way. For now, let us take stock of Quarter 1 and what I have been up to lately. Do grab a cuppa and enjoy! 🙂

Drinking: Lots of Coke and Lime this week because, cravings!

Reading: Just finished At First Sight by Danielle Steel and currently reading 2 books: ‘What on Earth am I Here For?‘ by Rick Warren and ‘I Do Not Come to You by Chance‘ by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

Making: Plans to finish making my vision-board this week.

Cooking: Pancakes a lot more often now that I got my hands on the Kate Boringer Caramel Syrup.

Wanting: To become the person I was destined and created to be.

Deciding: On what to kind of content I would like to share more of this quarter.

Wishing: That I could make more money this quarter so that I can go for a holiday in the next one. (Amen!)

Enjoying: My regular evening downtime that entails FaceTime with my Bestie, a chapter of Rick Warren’s book and the Forest Fruit tea infusion.

Learning: How to reclaim my time. I was listening to Devon Franklin the other day and his sermon truly hit home.

Loving: The book sale at Text Book Center and the book selection at Bookstop, Yaya Center which allowed me to come across undiscovered authors like Adaobi.

Needing: A new phone because mine fell, never to come on again. sigh!

Wearing: Turtle-necks more frequently because the weather in Nairobi did not come to play with nobody’s son. (Insert African-American accent)

Opening: My devotional book more often these past few weeks.

Closing: My mind from other people’s opinions and perceptions. Told you, I am in the process of reclaiming my time darlings!

Feeling: Happy, grateful and content!

Playing: Waiting All Night by Rudimental. It is such a sentimental song for me and it reminds me of a specific time in my life when I was dancing-on-air happy!

Wondering: Which direction my career will be taking next.

Smelling: The Forest Fruit tea infusion by Ketepa Pride. It’s my new fave!

Following: A lot of South African content creators lately. My current faves are Mihlali Ndamase, Vanessa Padi, Landzy Gama and Kay Ngonyama.

Laughing: Because I have no shortage of hilarious people in my life! 😉

I hope you enjoyed catching up with me on this post. Also, feel free to send in any blog post suggestions that you may have. Keep warm and enjoy the rest of your week loves! 🙂
