Trust the Timing

Happy Sunday Loves! I know I keep saying this but time is surely flying you guys! It is already graduation season and I am honestly so excited for all the people graduating this year. Two of my amazing friends sisters are graduating this coming week and I couldn’t be more proud of them and the women they are becoming!

I am one of those people who loves to plan every single thing because I love living with the knowledge that I know just how something will turn out, you know? More often than not, those plans work as scheduled. But lately, I have been getting frustrated over things not going to plan and not working on my schedule.

I made a decision to take a certain leap of faith (I will disclose details soon) in 60 days and I had all the details figured out. But then life decided to yell plot twist! And so I had to take the leap of faith recently, before the scheduled 60 days and it was honestly a bit frustrating.

Coincidentally, I read a page of the Confident Woman Devotional on the same day about Trusting God’s Timing and I really felt like it was addressed to me in the particular situation I was in.

Talk about being at the right place at the right time!

In the book, Joyce Meyers shares about how frustrated she always got when she was trying to do something herself, with her own strength, instead of relying on God’s grace and timing. She also mentioned something that is by far my biggest lesson from this week: God will not permit us to succeed without Him because if He did, we would take credit that is due to Him.

So I am slowly learning to simply trust the timing of my life. To trust that everything is happening as it is meant to be and that it is all according to His plan. That is a bit of a struggle for me, being the planner that I am, but slow progress is still progress, right?

Like I mentioned in the previous post, in whatever you are going through, you are not alone. There is a whole community of other people going through similar experiences. Have you been in similar situations before? What did you do about it? What lessons did you learn? Feel free to share in the comment section below. 🙂

I wish you all a lovely week ahead! 🙂
